Application
POLSIL® E – water emulsions of POLSIL® OM methyl- silicone uid. These are milky-white liquids easily mixed with water, smooth to touch, with a speci c smell. They are chemically inert. The following types of emulsion are manufactured:
• emulsion with methylsilicone uid content of 36%: POLSIL® E-1, POLSIL® E-2
• emulsion with methylsilicone uid content of 60%, with an antistatic agent: POLSIL® E-3,
• emulsion with methylsilicone uid content of 60%: POLSIL® E-5S and POLSIL® E-5 with an addition of or- ganic solvent.
In industry, silicone emulsions are used mainly as:
- antiadhesive agent for moulds in founding and plastic and rubber processing: POLSIL® E-1 , POLSIL® E-2
- an additive to car cosmetics and household chemistry products: POLSIL® E-3
- antiadhesive agents in rubber processing: POLSIL® E-5, POLSIL® E-5S
POLSIL® E-1, POLSIL® E-2 and POLSIL® E-3 are used for household purposes to clean, polish and preserve:
- imitation leather (armchairs, car upholstery, shoes, clothes),
- plastic products and ooring,
- rubber products (tire side surface, fridge, freezer, washing machine and car gaskets),
- ceramic and plastic bathroom oor and wall tiles,
- varnished surfaces.
