Application
SILAK® M-101 is a solution of methylsilicone resin in the mixture of xylene and cyclohexanol, easily diluted with toluene, xylene, mineral spirits. Market form liquid from golden yellow to yellow, with smell typical of aromatic hydrocarbons. A small amount of colloidal precipitate at the bottom of the container is acceptable.
SILAK® M-101 is used as thermohardening, nonexible varnish:
- for coating the following types of surface: steel, castiron and aluminium. Varnish coatings are characteri- zed by high gas permeability and resistance to water, dilute salt and acid solution in ambient temperature,
- as antiadhesive varnish for metal moulds,
- as a component in the production of silicone and aluminium heat-resisting enamel.
